Distinguished
Toastmaster
My
first Toastmaster Club was in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Later I joined a
club in Spearfish, South Dakota. When I moved to Pierre, S. D., I
joined a club there. Whenever I was called away to a new work site I
would look for a Toastmaster Club. Their belief in developing
communication skills in thinking, speaking, and listening
were
in
direct alignment with my goals in life.
After approximately six years of membership which also included a visit to Arizona and membership in two clubs in Colorado I was able to achieve the Distinguished Toastmaster Award. My plaque hangs in the entryway of my Richey home.
This award was earned after competition in the contests, providing leadership for conferences, and completing a High Performance Leadership project on mentoring.
Toastmasters – ALWAYS a POSITIVE EXPERIENCE!
